 Suspension Clamps 

Suspension clamps play a vital role on straight tower sections of overhead transmission lines (especially high-voltage and extra-high-voltage lines).

Aluminum Suspension Clamp bodies and keeper pieces are cast in hiugh strength,heat-treated silicon aluminum alloy.Compatible with any almuminum or alminum covered conductor.Ground wire Suspension Clamp bodies and keeper pieces are ductile iron cast of great strength.All ductile iron and steel parts are hot-dip galvanized.Cotter keys are stainless steel.

Their main advantages are reflected in the following aspects:

1.Allows Free Swinging of Conductor/Shield Wire (Core Advantage): This is the most fundamental and crucial advantage. Designed with a "hull" or "hinge" structure, the clamp body can freely rotate around the suspension point (typically connected via a U-bolt clevis or directly to the insulator string).
2.Reliable Grip Strength: Suspension clamps provide sufficient and stable grip strength on the conductor/shield wire through methods like bolted fastening or preformed armor rod wrapping.
3.Protects the Conductor from Damage:  The clamp's interior (hull) usually features smooth liners (e.g., aluminum liners, rubber liners) or utilizes preformed armor rods.
4.Good Load Distribution:  When used in conjunction with preformed armor rods, suspension clamps can distribute the conductor tension more evenly over the longer section of conductor covered by the rods.
5.Strong Adaptability:Suspension clamps come in various specifications and models to accommodate different diameters, materials (aluminum, steel, aluminum-clad steel, OPGW, etc.), and tension ratings of conductors and shield wires.
