Aluminumconductor steel reinforced, ACSR, refers to a single or multi-layer aluminum strand twisted in galvanized steel core outside the reinforced wire. Mainly used in power and transmission line industry.

The inside is a steel "core", and the outside is wound around the steel core with aluminum wire through a twisted way. The steel core mainly plays the role of increasing strength, and the aluminum strand mainly plays the role of transmitting electric energy.
